Animated Videos

What is an animated video?

An animated video conveys information to its target audience in a visual, accessible and familiar format; it can make a complex idea more engaging for the viewer and enable a business to explain messages in a succinct, colourful and humorous way.

Through the art of animation, stats and graphs become entertaining and informative; or a company mascot can be created to give your brand personality and pass on important information through a characterised voiceover.

At Reel Media, we have produced 2D and 3D animation videos about products, conferences and exhibitions for a client portfolio that spans the East Midlands and the UK.

Choosing animated video production allows for a level of creativity that other mediums can’t achieve – the possibilities are endless. What could animated video achieve for your business? Find out now.

The benefits of animated video

Animated video brings your company’s message, aims, stats and graphs to life, presenting them to your target audience in a format that they are used to consuming in their everyday lives.

Videos in this style have the ability to simplify the complex and transfer messages in a clear and concise way.  For example, internal messaging can be condensed into a short animation that transfers an important message in half the time and in a way that will be remembered.

Who can benefit from animated video?

The short answer is, every business! The ability to explain complex and often dry concepts and services in an interesting and engaging way has been especially beneficial for our clients in the finance and energy sectors.

At Reel Media, we work with businesses of every size and nature across the East Midlands and the UK and have previously produced animated videos for EON and Boots.

The animated video production process

We tailor our animated video production services to each unique business, brand or individual, but the process typically includes:

Project management

We’ll take care of everything, from the start to the end of the process, and everything in-between, and we’ll keep in touch all the way through.

Character development

Animated videos have so much personality and much of this is created by characters. We’ll work with you to develop characters that reflect your business’ brand and your objectives.

Scriptwriting and storyboarding

Next up, we’ll work together to plan the key messages for your video and to create a storyboard.

2D & 3D animated videos

Every animated video is different, so we’ll then decide how to animate your characters and storyline using 2D or 3D video, or both.

Animated logos

An animated logo will catch the eye, hold attention and provide more information than a static equivalent. We work with you to visualise your company’s values into an animation, or animate your existing logo.

Motion graphics

Need to explain a complicated idea or present data? Motion graphics could be the answer. Engage your audience by presenting information in an exciting, moving format. For example, we used motion graphics to explain why you need a video.

Why Reel Media?

At Reel Media, we believe in a collaborative approach to video production: our buzzword is transparency. We want our clients to have as much or as little involvement in the project as they want.

We’re an agile and personal team who can adapt to the needs of an individual business; being based in Nottingham city centre, we’re accessible, too!

We have the experience and skills in house to produce 2D and 3D animated videos and can advise on which format will best convey your message to the target viewer.

Our Clients

“The team at Reel Media were a pleasure to work with, nothing was too much trouble. They instinctively understood the brief from the very first meeting and implemented the project accordingly. The end result is better than we could have hoped for.”
