Beauty Box Challenge

The Brief

Urban Beauty United approached Reel Media with a view to exploring the idea of beauty blogging and make up tutorial videos to promote their cosmetic products. Together we developed the Beauty Box Challenge concept.


Our Approach

We employed a multi-camera studio set up to ensure the identity of the client and its product were represented; we were able to cut between our talent, our UBU products and close up shots of the processes involved. Moreover, the addition of a glamour backdrop, mirror and other props ensured a final piece which looks great and captures what UBU are all about.


We filmed through a two way mirror with our main camera to pay homage to the blogger style, but also to bolster the shot from our second camera.


Along with this example, we completed two other beauty box challenge videos and a behind the scenes film for marketing and social media.
