EMAS Ambulance Shift

The Brief

Filmed two days before Christmas, we were asked to produce a fly-on-the-wall documentary style account of a day in the life of an East Midlands Ambulance Service crew.

Our Approach

It was important to show the urgency of the job, and an honest reflection of the challenges faced by our ambulance men and women. Using GoPro cameras and a single camera operator enabled us to capture the events without intrusion and in a sensitive manner. We were also able to include the original recordings of the call outs and sync them with our footage of the responses.

“The team at Reel Media were a pleasure to work with, nothing was too much trouble. They instinctively understood the brief from the very first meeting and implemented the project accordingly. The end result is better than we could have hoped for.”
