Having produced a number of successful films for the John van Geest Cancer Research Centre, we were asked to develop a concept which could be used as part of their wider fundraising and campaigning efforts. In short, the objective was to produce something which would incentivise people to support the centre with a donation.
We recognised that it is important to concentrate on the things we can do to help make a difference, as this would make the prospect of fundraising more tangible. Moreover, we felt it was pertinent to appreciate that we are all affected by cancer in some way, so addressing this would help the audience to respect the motives of those involved, and inspire the audience to do the same.
We knew that the wide variety of initiatives taken by fundraisers would underline the different of options to raise money, and in turn provide engaging, dynamic visuals for the benefit of the film.
The end result is a piece which captures the power we all have to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
